Riverwood Way | Full Building Process Part 4

The name of the game when it comes time for your design studio appointment is personalization. This is the stage in the Riverwood building process where your home goes from concept to reality, and your floorplan becomes your own. As you’ll see, Riverwood offers a large range of design options to ensure that each of our homeowners can create a unique living space tailored to their own personal preferences. We work with you to make your dream home a reality, and this is where that process truly begins. 

Step 6: Design Studio Appointment  

Mary, our in-house Designer, guides this process by working alongside each client to achieve the desired aesthetic for your home with the extensive collection of materials, finishes and options available in our Design Studio. Prior to your appointment, sit down to research what design style best suits your personality. Do you prefer a more traditional style interior, or maybe something a bit more contemporary? It’s up to you, but this is the first building block to put in place. With that in mind, it’s always helpful to have inspiration pictures on hand when walking into your appointment to help guide the process, as well as having an idea of any additional features you would like to further personalize your floorplan. A great resource you can utilize before your appointment is our online tool, Anewgo, which allows you to see the available structural options as well as to design and render your exterior. This may sound like a lot to sift through, but don’t worry! All of these additional options will be emailed to you prior to your appointment. 

During the design appointment, Mary will walk you through the Studio to select all materials for both the exterior and interior of your home.  For the exterior, you will be able to choose everything from brick, siding, garage doors, shutters, etc. From there we will discuss all materials and finishes for your interior including countertops, cabinetry, flooring, hardware and so much more to include every detail that goes into your personal Riverwood home. 

At the end of the appointment, you will be sent home with a list of all options chosen during your time in the Studio. You will be given three days to review, finalize and sign the options, allowing us to start your new home in a timely manner.
