Favorite Food Spots of Farmington
July 5, 2023
It’s time to discuss everyone's favorite topic: food. Regardless of what you’re looking for when it comes to home construction, living somewhere that can meet all of your culinary needs is a top priority. Whether you’re looking for savory street tacos or world class barbecue, The Grove at Engles Mill has you covered.
Damons BBQ and Biergarten
A local favorite, Damons BBQ is a must try for anybody living in the NWA region. Previously a food truck, Damon’s has since moved into a brick and mortar location reminiscent of a traditional German beer hall. Whether you sit in the Beer Garden out back or inside the Hall itself, the lively atmosphere and friendly service alone is worth a trip. Featuring a menu stretching from German sausages and pretzels to Californian style Santa Cruz barbecue, Damons BBQ covers all sorts of different tastes and preferences to ensure you and your party go home satisfied. Food and service are not the only aspects of the restaurant that draw customers back, but the unique events held on site as well. Comedy shows, holiday deals, and seasonal celebrations all contribute to making this Biergarten truly spectacular.
Briar Rose
Looking for something a little lighter? The Farmington area has got you covered there too! Stop by Briar Rose’s cottage themed deli and bakery for a fresh-made lunch or breakfast. Specializing in deli soups and sandwiches, wood-fired pizzas, and fresh made pastries and cinnamon rolls, Farmington residents come for the sweets and stay for the sammies. The freshly baked cinnamon rolls have been a “must-have” in the area since opening its doors in 2017, and have made the bakery an experience for locals and visitors alike. Briar Rose is great for a work-day meal or a fun experience with the family in this cozy medieval eatery. In addition to providing a unique dine-in experience, Briar Rose also creates custom orders for catering and special events, such as weddings and birthdays. Gluten-free Thursdays and keto Fridays have a hand in setting this establishment apart as well by striving to serve customers with specific dietary preferences or restrictions.
Simple Simons
As everyone knows, a reliable pizza place is a must when it comes to finding an ideal living situation. Thankfully, you won’t have to worry about that when moving to Engles Mill. Locally owned and operated, Simple Simons in Farmington has a personality of its own and contributes to the unique culture of the area. With a wide array of specialty pizzas, calizones, wings and more for dine-in or order-out, everyone finds something to love here. On top of that, Simons goes above and beyond in creating a fun experience for local NWA residents. Every Tuesday from 5-8 PM the staff runs a from-scratch buffet for everyone to enjoy. If you ask nicely, they’ll even make a custom pizza to put on the line! Not full yet? Take on the Beast Challenge… a 29” monster one-topping pizza for you and a partner. Finish in 45 minutes and the meal is free along with merch from the restaurant and your photo on Farmington’s wall of fame.
Beau's Bayou Smokehouse
If you’re a fan of cajun style barbecue, this is the food-truck for you. It’s common knowledge that Northwest Arkansas has some amazing barbecue, but Beau’s old school methods are a step above the rest. Dedicated to perfecting their craft through traditional methods, all the food at Beau’s is cooked and smoked from the burning of hickory or white oak wood rather than gas assist, highlighting the natural flavor of their ingredients with a nice, smoky finish. But it’s not just the meat that sets this smokehouse apart. With an assortment of classic BBQ sides and amazing cheesecake desserts, Beau’s is a tried-and-true culinary experience from start to finish. The owners of this fan favorite also pride themselves on the personable customer service offered to each of their visitors, as well as their yearly southern style crawfish boil. Keep an eye out for announcements, because this isn’t an event you want to miss!
